WA's 2026 Work Health and Safety Excellence Awards — entries close 29 May

Until 29 May, nominations are open for WorkSafe WA’s 2026 Work Health and Safety Excellence Awards, which recognise outstanding solutions and innovations to specific workplace health and safety problems in Western Australia.

The five award categories are:

  • Work health and safety invention of the year — for development of plant/equipment engineering and/or infrastructure to enhance health and safety;
  • Best solution to a work health and safety risk — for innovation, implementation and/or design of systems or procedures to improve health and safety;
  • Best intervention to address a psychosocial hazard in the workplace — for an organisation’s commitment to the prevention of psychosocial hazards in the workplace;
  • Leadership excellence award — for an organisation’s excellence in leadership in improving health and safety in the workplace; and
  • Health and safety representative of the year — for an elected health and safety representative who has made a significant contribution and demonstrable difference to health and safety in the workplace.

You can submit a nomination here, which must be completed online and submitted before 5 pm Friday, 29 May 2026.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in October during Safe Work Month.
