Safety culture technical workshop

NOPSEMA is facilitating a workshop on safety culture, conducted by Dr Mark Fleming, who is a safety culture specialist with 20 years’ experience in industrial health and safety management in high hazard industries, including offshore oil and gas. The workshop will take place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday 21 October commencing at 8.30 am.

The interactive half-day workshop will comprise presentations and group exercises to raise safety culture awareness. The workshop aims to provide participants with a common understanding of the current thoughts and behaviours that lead to a positive safety culture and improved safety performance.

Dr Fleming will also be presenting at the International Regulators’ Offshore Safety Conference in Perth on 21-23 October 2013. The conference program features eminent regulatory, safety and technical specialists from the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, Brazil and Australia who will present a range of insights and challenges on the lessons arising from major accident events.
