Man charged with fraudulent workers comp claims
A man who fraudulently obtained more than $700,000 in unlawful workers compensation payments has been charged by WorkSafe Victoria.
The 49-year-old Roxburgh Park man appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court and was bailed to reappear on 27 July for a committal mention hearing.
He was accused of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by allegedly receiving more than $700,000 in unlawful workers compensation payments.
The man was ordered to surrender his passport and not approach points of international departure.
He is alleged to have dishonestly obtained a total of $714,550 from 2006–2016.
