Leading occupational stress and injury authority joins DuPont Safety Resources
DuPont Safety Resources recently appointed occupational stress and psychological injury authority Dr Rod Gutierrez to its Australian team of safety and operational-excellence consultants.
The appointment will enrich DuPont’s consultative process by identifying and influencing the psychological factors that drive individual behaviour and group cultures. Applying Dr Gutierrez’s proprietary research will enhance the consulting DuPont undertakes in change management, leadership engagement and the development of safety cultures.
Dr Gutierrez is one of Australia’s leading authorities in the fields of management and prevention of occupational stress and psychological injury. He conducted one of the largest research programs into this field resulting in the development of new understanding of the nature and impact of this significant problem. His findings challenged many of the long-held assumptions regarding occupational stress and its workplace impact and have paved the way to new evidence-based interventions and prevention programs.
As a registered psychologist, Dr Gutierrez holds degrees in clinical, rehabilitation and organisational psychology. He is well regarded as an expert in his field, having provided consulting to both government and the private sector. He frequently presents at national and international conferences on his wide-ranging areas of expertise.
