Evaluating fatigue on mine sites made easier with manual

Tuesday, 06 August, 2013

The NSW Government Trade & Investment mine safety department’s fatigue management evaluation manual is designed to help evaluate the existing capacity, culture and approach to managing fatigue in the workplace.

The manual is structured like an audit and includes an easy-to-follow, four-step process, along with all the tools needed to complete an evaluation. It complements the existing Fatigue Management Plan - A practical guide to developing and implementing a fatigue management plan for the NSW mining and extractives industry.

The manual is available on the department’s website at: www.resources.nsw.gov.au/safety/world-leading-ohs/fatigue.
