SquizBiz, developed by Melbourne company Momentum Technologies Group, is a hardware and software package that attaches to a standard Sony video camera and allows users to send live video over the Internet to remote viewers. The system is fully mobile, allowing the broadcaster to walk around a business with no wires in the way.

For example, a site manager could walk around a building site, taking live video of the whole site while the OHS person in head office views and directs the video, conducting a remote, virtual OHS inspection. The site manager can also zoom in on particular areas of interest or concern to gain immediate advice or report an issue or problem.

The solution also allows both the broadcaster and viewer to take high-quality stills and the whole session (including stills) can be automatically saved for documentation purposes so the company has a visual record of the inspection.

SquizBiz can also be used during accident responses, with a broadcaster being able to send live video immediately to an expert (engineers, doctors, etc) to make sure the situation is assessed immediately in an effort to minimise injuries, damage and costs. Within construction, SquizBiz could also be used by project managers, engineers and architects to check progress.
