The 3SE28 family of safety limit switches from Siemens Automation & Drives is suitable for guard door monitoring where personnel entry must be prevented by a locking mechanism. The 2000N lock is complemented by a selection of separate actuators.
Further enhancements include auxiliary releases (with or without key locks) for entry to guarded areas during power outages. Status LEDs on the switch are included on some models. 24 VDC, 110 VAC and 240 VAC versions are available. 3SE28 units provide a heavy duty alternative to the 1200N locking units 3SE37/8 from Siemens.
