The 'Dräger Personnel Occupational Development trainer' (D-pod) is designed to permit on-site delivery of the required occupational training modules associated with workplace safety training. Training is delivered in line with nationally recognised and risk-assessed training courses that are designed to improve awareness and safety of specific occupational hazards.

The team provides multi-level confined space entry/height safety training complete with cosmetic smoke used in conjunction with SCBA, personal gas detection and height safety equipment.

Features include: five participants at any one time on the raised platform; a vertical top entry manhole that leads to a base junction with a dual layered pipe exit system to fresh air; and a tripod with winch system, which can be fixed above to facilitate a rescue procedure.

The training provides instructors with the ability to teach practical skills in confined space entry and rescue, wearing breathing apparatus, atmospheric monitoring and height safety. There is also flexibility to adapt the training to other hazardous occupational roles.

With the onboard fire tutor, the instructors can also provide first class fire extinguisher training.
