Fitted with the latest 'approach-only' radar technology to quickly and accurately detect the speed of approaching vehicles, driver feedback signs provide the driver with real-time feedback as to their vehicle's speed as it approaches the sign.

The immediate alert to drivers has a remarkable effect for traffic calming, resulting in improved safety. Tests have shown that average speeds above the posted speed limit have been reduced by as much as 80%.

When permanently installed, these signs form the cornerstone of the Active School Zone Program. Combining the fluorescent yellow green static school crossing signs with a fully self-contained dynamic vehicle speed sign, the motorist passing through a school zone receives real-time feedback as to their vehicle's speed.

Features include: approach only radar (no confusion); high performance visibility; see-through trailer design allows safer operation in dangerous or high risk work zone and school zone areas; flashing Violator Overspeed alert with accompanying message (Too Fast); interchangeable speed limit kit (40-90 kph) for portable models; and easily programmable to accommodate any speed.

The trailer mounted Speed Awareness Sign can be used in many different applications including: school zones; pedestrian black spots; high accident locations; dangerous curves; residential neighbourhoods; and construction or work zones.
