The Sundström SR500 Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) is designed to combine high-performance airflow, exceptional comfort and a uniquely versatile modular design. Approved to AS/NZS 1716, the SR500 delivers airflow rates of up to 240 L/min in boost mode, helping reduce breathing resistance and heat stress in demanding workplace environments. The SR500 PAPR is for protection against particle and gas/combination contaminants.

A key feature is the product’s fully integrated respiratory protection platform. The unit is compatible with a range of approved head-tops, including face shields, hoods, helmets and the SR200 full-face respirator, allowing safety managers to tailor protection levels to specific hazards without investing in multiple standalone systems.

A key benefit is the use of the SR510 P3 particle filter across the broader Sundström respiratory range. The same high-efficiency filter can be used with the SR500 PAPR, SR700 PAPR, SR100 half mask and SR200 full-face respirator, simplifying inventory management, reducing training requirements and lowering ongoing operating costs. This common-filter approach is designed to allow organisations to standardise respiratory protection across their workforce while maintaining consistent, high-level particulate protection.
