Worker on elevated platform dies after electrocution

A man was electrocuted and killed while he was working on an elevated platform in Hughesdale last week.

It is believed the 26-year-old was tree pruning when the platform came into contact with the powerlines about noon.

WorkSafe Victoria is investigating the incident.

The fatality brings the number of workplace deaths this year to six, compared to four at the same time last year.
