Truck driver tragically dies while collecting rubbish

A truck driver died last week after allegedly being struck by his own truck while collecting a hire rubbish skip bin at a workplace in Kew, Victoria.

It was reported that the driver, 55, had left the cabin of his vehicle when the truck moved and struck him before it crashed through a side fence and into a garage on an adjoining property.

The incident happened on 24 January 2019 and is now being investigated by WorkSafe Victoria.
