New Augmented Reality Guide Splashes into Public Pool Safety

Pro-Visual Publishing in conjunction with the Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA) has proudly released their latest edition of the Augmented Reality (AR) National Guide to Public Pools & Aquatic Centres 2020, distributed free of charge Australia wide.

Being able to swim and enjoy the water to its full capacity is not only a rite of passage for every Australian child; it’s a way of life. Public Pools that display and inform patrons on critical pool safety issues creates a safer environment for children whilst encouraging active parental supervision.

The wall-mountable printed Guide is an invaluable resource and serves as a visual and interactive aid for parents, patrons and staff. The Guide is designed to be displayed year-round in a visible position to encourage the review of key water safety information that will contribute to the safety of all whilst in and around public pools.

Together Pro-Visual Publishing and ASSA have carefully selected topics that address issues pertinent to the industry in regards to health and safety, which include:

  • Active Parental Supervision at Public Pools & Aquatic Facilities.
  • Four Key Requirements to Prevent Children from Drowning.
  • Sun Safety.
  • Child Drowning is Preventable.

As mentioned, the Guide features AR, a digitised feature aimed at enhancing engagement and offers an aspect of interactivity. By simply downloading the free Pro-Vis AR app and scanning over any AR capable content, users can access further safety information straight to their smart device, for example, videos and PDF files.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors of the National Guide to Public Pools & Aquatics Centres 2020. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge.”
