Join in World Day for Safety this month

Promoting a safe and healthy future of work will be the focus this World Day for Safety.

The event will be held on Sunday, 28 April, alongside Workers’ Memorial Day.

World Day promotes safety and health in the workplace and Worker’s Memorial Day honours those who have died from work-related injury or illness.

As digital technologies and automation become more common, employment and workplaces are changing. It’s important that with an ageing workforce and rising levels of stress, businesses start to plan future workplaces and ensure they are safe and healthy, with a lower risk of workplace injury.

Safe Work Australia (SWA) is encouraging businesses to get involved in promoting World Day for Safety and the Workers’ Memorial Day. In the lead-up to April 28, SWA will share content from the International Labour Organisation and relevant organisations across its social media channels, which can be shared to raise awareness.
