Safety Urged on Farms – New Safety Guide Assists Farmers

Tractors are arguably the most versatile and essential items of plant on Broadacre farms but are also associated with a high percentage of serious farm injuries and work-related fatalities. General safety precautions must be implemented to ensure injuries are kept to a minimum.

Pro-Visual Publishing’s release of the latest edition of the Broadacre Guide to Farm Safety in partnership with Grain Growers and Are you Bogged Mate? aims to provide farmers with key safety information in hopes to reduce farm related injury and fatality which the farming industry has one of the highest rates of. Therefore, Pro-Visual Publishing’s Guide is a resource that every farmer should have to serve as a visual safety reminder.

The main topics covered on the Guide include:

  • Electrical Safety
  • Rotation Crops
  • Dangerous Goods & Hazardous Chemicals
  • Tractors
  • Manual Handling

This year’s Guide features Augmented Reality (AR), a digitally interactive feature that provides the opportunity to access further safety resources. By simply downloading the free Pro-Vis AR app, farmers can use their smart device to scan over any AR capable content to display and review safety information straight to their device.

“I would like to thank all of the sponsors of the Broadacre Guide to Farm Safety 2018/19. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge.” – John Hutchings, CEO, Pro-Visual Publishing.
