Safety Guide to Assist Sugarcane Growers in Managing Health and Safety

On a daily basis, sugarcane growers face hazards and potential threats to their safety and their employees. The types of equipment and chemicals used can especially pose a health and safety hazard; therefore it is crucial that sugarcane growers remain up-to-date with safety standards and information pertinent to the industry.

Pro-Visual Publishing, in partnership with Canegrowers Australia and the National Safety Council of Australia Foundation, has released the 2018/19 edition Sugarcane Industry Guide to Safety, with interactive Augmented Reality (AR) capabilities.

Essential work health and safety information relevant to sugarcane growers is featured on the guide and includes quad bike safety, legislation regarding hazardous chemicals, smartcane BMP, managing farm health and safety and farm safety hazard checklist.

Due to the success of AR, the Sugarcane Guide once again comprises of the exciting feature, combining print and digital to create an engaging experience for farmers. By simply downloading the free Pro-Vis AR app, farmers can instantly access additional safety information via their smart device.
