Safety comes first when handling livestock

Handling livestock is a dangerous activity. Livestock producers, livestock transport operators and livestock handlers are at risk when moving livestock to different locations, separating, loading or unloading on properties, and undertaking animal husbandry. These risks include being crushed, kicked, trampled or gored and may lead to fractures, dislocations, serious injuries or even fatalities.
