Reducing Injuries and Fatalities on all NSW Construction Sites

Between 2003-2013 there were 401 worker fatalities on construction sites, with the majority involving falls from heights, in particular, scaffolding. Not only this, 11 per cent of fatalities were caused by falling objects. These figures are upsetting, however, by adhering to the appropriate guidelines these numbers can hopefully be reduced.

Pro-Visual Publishing, in collaboration with The Master Builders Association of NSW, has produced the 2018 edition of the NSW Construction Site Safety Guide, which explores scaffolding safety and how best to prevent hazards resulting in injuries. Additionally, the Guide considers falling objects and managing the risks as well as valuable information about fire precautions during construction.

The Guide also features Augmented Reality (AR), an interactive aspect to illustrate, on a greater level, the devastating incidents that could occur at your construction site if precautions are not taken to reduce the risks involved.

“I would like to thank all of the sponsors of the NSW Construction Site Safety Guide 2018. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge” — John Hutchings, CEO, Pro-Visual Publishing.
