Maintaining High Safety Standards

Pro-Visual Publishing, in cooperation with the Australian Drilling Industry Association (ADIA) and the Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training (ACEPT), has released the 2017/18 edition of the Oil, Gas and Pipeline Guide to Workplace Safety, with interactive Augmented Reality (AR) capabilities. The Guide aims to provide facilitators and workers with information on current health and safety issues prevalent in the industry.

Key areas covered in the guide include identifying hazards, assessing risks, responding to incidents, Common Safety Training Program (CSTP), personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall prevention when working at heights. Displaying, learning and implementing the safety advice within these key topics will help in maintaining a hazard-free working environment.

The interactive AR components of the guide also provide a window to a range of resources and information, which users can access by simply scanning over any AR-capable content using the free Pro-Vis AR app.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors of the Oil, Gas and Pipeline Guide to Workplace Safety 2017/18. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge.” – John Hutchings, CEO, Pro-Visual Publishing.
