Grow Your Safety Knowledge

Cotton farmers and growers face numerous potential hazards on a daily basis that can result serious or life-threatening injuries when safety measures are not followed. To help raise awareness of key hazards and safety concerns within the cotton farming industry Pro-Visual Publishing has released the 2017/18 edition of the Cotton Industry Guide to Safety.

This years’ guide provides detailed information on the following safety issues:

  • Harvesting machinery safety.
  • WHS duties and obligations.
  • Dangerous goods and hazardous chemicals safety.
  • Assessing and controlling manual handling risks.

The Augmented Reality (AR) features of the guide also provide a window to further resources, such as an informative PDF about the labelling of workplace hazardous chemicals and the preparation of safety data sheets for hazardous chemicals. To access the content, users simply scan over any AR capable components using the free Pro-Vis AR app.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors of the Cotton Industry Guide to Safety 2017/18. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge.”

– John Hutchings, CEO, Pro-Visual Publishing.
