Drilling Down on Safety in the Dental Industry

Pro-Visual Publishing, in cooperation with the National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA) Foundation has released the 2017/18 edition of the Dental Professionals Guide to Safety & Hygiene, with interactive Augmented Reality (AR) capabilities. The guide is an essential resource, aimed at protecting the health and safety of dental professionals and their patients.

This year’s guide covers a range of topics, including:

  • Infection control within both clinical and non-clinical areas.
  • Ergonomics – the science of fitting the work environment to the worker.
  • Personal hygiene and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

By simply downloading the free Pro-Vis AR app and scanning over the AR capable content, users can access further resources, including an interactive panorama with UV light showing bacteria around a dental clinic, and a detailed animation of correct hand washing techniques.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors of the Dental Professionals Guide to Safety & Hygiene 2017/18. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge.”

– John Hutchings, CEO, Pro-Visual Publishing.
