Festo MS6-SV soft-start/exhaust valve

The MS safety valve series features the MS6-SV soft-start/exhaust valve that complies with AS 4024 Category 4 and ISO 13849-1 Performance Level ‘e’.

The air preparation range can be integrated into new or existing circuits, either standalone or housed in an air-preparation module. As a supply device providing a safe exhaust function, it offers a large number of possible applications and benefits. In the event of sudden emergency-stops in safety-critical systems, it reliably stops compressed air supply by means of venting, thus assuring safety for the operator and the machine. The exhaust flow rate is 6000 L/min - 1½ times faster than air supply.

The valve’s redundant 2-channel design provides single fault security, ensuring system venting, even if an error occurs at the valve. The use of the valve provides equipment manufacturers, as well as end users, with a high level of safety.

Its compact dimensions make the device flexible where installation is concerned - either as part of the modular system for MS service units or as a standalone.
