Pipe fittings

Philmac has released a range of pipe fittings with improved durability and unique safety features, specifically for the mining industry.

The Safelok fittings feature 'slide and tighten' technology, which allows installers to simply slide the pipe into the fitting and then tighten the nut, negating any need for pipe preparation or fiddling with O-rings.

Safelok fittings are manufactured from a strengthened polypropylene, compared to the standard metric range, providing a much greater level of impact resistance.

Unlike conventional black fittings, Safelok fittings are also manufactured with a distinctive bright orange nut that makes them easier to locate in a dimly lit environment, providing improved safety and speed of maintenance.

The O-ring of the Safelok fittings is made from chemical-resistant EPDM, rather than conventional nitrile rubber, making it more resistant to corrosive materials, particularly acids.
