Powercell MTX is a hermetically sealed IP68-/IP69K-rated digital load cell used for vehicle-scale applications that can also be safely deployed in hazardous environments such as transportation of flammable and explosive materials.
The fully welded stainless steel scales are available in load capacities of 25 and 45 t and feature built-in lightning protection and glass-to-metal connection and a high-speed interface to enable safe data transfer via Profibus DP.
The scales carry ATEX, Factory Mutual and Ex hazardous area approvals, enabling them to be utilised in weighing systems designed for use in Zone 1 hazardous areas, meaning that it will not spark even under failure conditions such as a broken cable.
The scales require only routine calibration and are claimed not to deliver different results even if the temperature or product changes.
