Low-voltage switchboards

Signature SE is a range of low-voltage switchboards for motor control centres in the mining sector, with a flexible modular design incorporating a wide range of compartment options.

The switchboards are fully compliant with AS 3439.1 1993ASTA and certified to comply with BS EN60439.1 and IEC 439.1 standards.

The range features IP55 rating; 2 mm zinc-anneal steel construction; internal arc-fault chimneys; operating voltage ratings of 380/415/690 VAC; operating current ratings up to 4000 A; and fault current ratings up to 100 kA.

Arc-fault containment is a key part of the design, where each module has arc-venting on the left-hand side to allow ionised gases to expand in the unlikely event of a fault.

Gases are vented through a hinged cover in the roof of the switchboard assembly. Independent testing has been conducted on the internal arcing fault to verify the integrity of the enclosure system under extreme fault conditions.
