Vic farm worker dies of electrocution
A 29-year-old farmhand has been electrocuted and killed while operating a telehandler on a property at Gerang Gerung, near Dimboola, Victoria. WorkSafe Victoria is investigating the incident.
The incident is believed to have occurred when the farmhand was preparing to remove bales from a stack, and a raised bale attachment made contact with overhead powerlines.
The death brings the workplace fatality toll to 61 for 2020, two more than at the same time last year.
