Workplace dangers awareness campaign
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has launched a state-wide advertising campaign to raise awareness of the dangers in workplaces.
The "Dangers lurk in every workplace' campaign was developed to coincide with Work Safe Week which runs from 22-28 October. The campaign will include radio, press and bus shelter advertisements and a television commercial.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland told Safety Solutions that the campaign aims to send the message that workplace incidents aren't inevitable and can be prevented and never to accept injuries and deaths as accidents.
The campaign is aimed at everybody involved in business including employees and employers.
There will also be free workshops leading up to and during Work Safe Week.
