Uniline Safety Systems wins Queen’s award for Enterprise

Friday, 29 April, 2011

Uniline Safety Systems, a Worcestershire, United Kingdom-based company, has been granted Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister.

Uniline, which was recently acquired by its peer Capital Safety, designs and manufactures fall protection and rescue equipment for people working at height.

The company has a strong customer base in UK and foresees huge growth in North America, Europe, Australia, South Africa, UAE and China.

In order to win, the company had to show that it had achieved substantial growth in overseas earnings and gained commercial success, and both of these measures had to be considered outstanding for the relative size of its business and its business sector.

Uniline’s export earnings have increased from £689K to £3.93m over the past six years. The company is forecasting sales of £7.3m in 2011/12 with a proposed increase in jobs of over 25%.
