Tecpro Australia will be showing its award-winning dust suppression products on Stand R176 at AIMEX - Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition, to be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park from 20-23 August 2013.

Along with the University of Wollongong, Tecpro Australia recently won the Australian Bulk Handling Review Award for Dust Control, Technology, Application or Practice for the two organisations’ unique dust suppression solution at Centennial Coal’s Mandalong Colliery on NSW’s Central Coast.

Air quality in the affected area at Mandalong is estimated to have improved by approximately 90% since the installation of the dust suppression solution, contributing to Centennial Coal’s ongoing program of improving environmental safety.

AIMEX 2013 will also be the first showing of an innovative venturi/ultrasonic nozzle assembly for dust suppression said Tecpro Australia’s Managing Director Graeme Cooper.

“We were awarded an ACARP grant to develop this assembly in partnership with the CSIRO.”

Italian-designed Giraffa and Elephante Fog Makers will also be features at Tecpro’s AIMEX stand.

“Because their flow rate can be varied from 5.3 to 335 L/min, it’s simple to finetune the flow to match the dust problem,” said Cooper.

“We’ll have a large variety of ultrasonic nozzles, high-pressure and low-pressure nozzles, heavy-duty stainless steel hose reels, hose nozzles and guns on display, and we’ll be happy to explain the merits of each in solving particular dust problems.”
