Safe Work Award nominations now open
Industrial Relations Minister Michael Wright has opened nominations for South Australia’s Safe Work Awards to recognise outstanding achievements in OHS.
“The Safe Work Awards reflect how seriously some dedicated South Australians take their commitment to workplace safety. It is important that we highlight and reward their efforts,” said Wright.
“In previous years, South Australian winners such as Constellation Wines Australia (formerly the Hardy Wine Company), Primary Industries and Resources SA and the SA Country Fire Service have gone on to win national acclaim in the Safe Work Australia Awards.”
The categories for this year are:
- Best Workplace Health & Safety Management System
- Best Solution to an Identified Workplace Health & Safety System
- Best Workplace Health & Safety Practices in Small Business
- Public Sector Leadership Award for Injury Prevention & Management
- Employer of the Year
- Employee of the Year
- Health & Safety Representative of the Year
- Best Public Event Safety
The winners will be announced at the Safe Work Awards Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday 7 November.
