New standards matrix shows OHS changes

With the recent introduction of AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018, a new matrix has been released to help businesses stay abreast of changes.

Standards Australia announced the adoption of AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018 on 17 October 2018. The standard has been heavily influenced by Australian experts and outlines international best practice in the management of workplace safety across all industries.

A new matrix has been developed by Standards Australia which shows the differences between ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001 and AS/NZS 4801. It aims to help businesses stay on top of OHS compliance in an environment where it is ever-evolving.

Some updated areas in the new standard include leadership and worker participation, OHS objectives and planning to achieve them, and operational planning and control.
