Functional safety training now online

High demand for functional safety training has prompted the providers of the SIL seminar series to offer the coursework through e-learning.

Designed for system planners and operators of industrial process plants, the e-learning coursework provides 10 modules for the use of IEC 61508/61511 in safety-related systems.

Online-Training on Functional Safety (SIL) is jointly published by the companies TÜV NORD, KROHNE Messtechnik, SAMSON and Phoenix Contact.

Users can expect to learn about hazard and risk assessments, safety requirement specifications, aspects of engineering and design, generic data in safety-related systems, requirements for sensor technology and SIL verification.

The content is product-neutral and commercial-free. It is based on the seminar series that has been conducted collaboratively between the companies since 2009 as part of the KROHNE Academy.

Free SIL registration is available at www.sil-training.com.
