Two-handed machine actuation

Tuesday, 18 December, 2007 | Supplied by: Micromax Pty Ltd

The Banner Engineering Duo-Touch Run Bar is designed to facilitate two-handed control machine actuation in applications such as power presses, cutting and heat staking machines.

The unit interfaces with safety controllers or other Type IIIC control systems to provide safe and reliable actuation. It is claimed to minimise the possibility of defeat and accidental actuation, while its ergonomic design is claimed to reduce hand, wrist and arm stresses associated with repeated switch operation. It includes two pre-installed STB touch buttons with LEDs to indicate power, output and fault status.

The unit features a robust steel construction and self-checking photoelectric STB buttons that are immune to ambient light, EMI and RFI. For installation flexibility, models are available with an integrated emergency stop button, along with a variety of accessory brackets and telescoping floor-mounted stands.
