The SR77 and SR87 smoke/escape hood for NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) warfare agents, fire, smoke, toxic gases, particles and industrial chemicals are specifically designed for escape purposes only. The hood enables the user to escape from a fire or a contaminated area.
It is intended for once-only use. If unopened, the hood can be fitted with fresh filters every five years and resealed for future emergencies.
The hood is made of flame-retardant, chemical-resistant material, is pre-assembled with a wide-spectrum filter for NBC, smoke and industrial chemical protection and vacuum-packed in a sealed aluminium foil bag. The storage pouch can be carried on the waist-belt, or in a briefcase or handbag. It can be fitted in a single action in seconds, and can be worn with eye glasses.
The mask is made of non-allergenic silicone for a comfortable, secure fit, is available in two sizes: small/medium and medium/large, and fits most faces without special adjustments.
The SR 87 features external adjustments straps, a large filter area for easy breathing, double-action valves and is suitable for high-rise homes, offices, hotels, etc.
