Risk mitigation for hearing loss

Friday, 21 September, 2007 | Supplied by: Sonomax Australia Pty Ltd

Sound Hearing has developed training that is designed to better understand the risk of noise in the workplace and how to practically mitigate noise-induced hearing loss at a grass roots levels.

The training is formatted as one-on-one Hearing Protection Training at the time of the hearing test or formal training in groups. The company also offers supervisor training to help supervisors influence proper use of hearing protection at the workplace in real time. All training is delivered on site.

The training includes key visual aids that are left with each employee and the client.

All tools and aids are tailored to meet the individual needs of each site based on currently employed hearing protection devices and noise exposure levels.

Sound Hearing Educational programs focus on what's important and minimise the time and cost to deliver the message.

The courses can be linked with Sound Hearing's other hearing conservation services for a total solution to hearing loss risk, or run in conjunction with an existing hearing conservation program.
