The Tait TM8250 has 1500 conventional channels and a high quality user interface, designed for fast-moving mobile teams such as emergency services and transport fleets.

The 1500 channels available with the TM8250 can be beneficial in wide area emergency services where a large number of radio channels are used to provide adequate signal coverage via a significant number of radio sites.

Greater channel capacity in the TM8250 makes the radio suitable for large radio system applications such as wide area transport services and large transport fleets where coverage is provided over a very large geographic area.

The TM8250's ability to send and receive pre-programmed status text messages adds security to communications because these messages can only be sent to radios that are programmed to receive them.

This reduces the need for voice conversations, keeping the channels clear for important calls, and can minimise errors in sending or receiving job instructions. It also gives fleet managers the ability to track fleet movements and monitor the time taken for each activity.

Internal GPS support is also built into the TM8000 series. With the addition of an external GPS receiver and a suitable software control application it is possible to locate the radio and track its movements.
