Mine Site Technologies (MST) has released a miner's cap lamp, known as the Integrated Communications Cap Lamp (ICCL).

The ICCL concept is based on using the latest lithium ion battery technology to develop a significantly smaller cap lamp for miners. However, the new lamp is not just a light source, it also provides important personal safety.

The ICCL is aimed at providing an important tool for mine operators working under the 'duty of care' principle and contains two safety-related communication devices, namely a personal pager and a tracking device (an active tag).
