New Elfin has developed a special safety system for emergency push-buttons. The system can be applied to all New Elfin emergency operators because it is incorporated in the Fail to Safe contact block.
The system is composed of two contact elements, one normally-closed and connected in series to one normally-open; the closing of the latter is carried out by means of a sophisticated positive mechanical system when the block connects itself to the stop command.
Depending on the specific mechanical system and electric circuit, the contact block can assure the ongoing effectiveness of the stop push-button and it is activated automatically by the opening of the circuit when external events affecting the equipment lead to the disconnection of any element of the emergency operator.
