Machine safety guarding

Cleervue machine guards suit a wide range of drilling, milling and grinding machines as well as lathes.

The standard BT model drilling guards have been upgraded and are now more robust and suitable for a tough environment. The main clear sections are injection moulded in polycarbonate making them particularly strong, especially necessary in educational and production environments where they are often mistreated.

The operator's view of the drilling process is good. All models have adjustable depth stops enabling the bottom section to be adjusted to suit the drill bit length. This lower section also concertinas on contact with the workpiece. For drill changing, the guard pivots up towards the operator and is held in this position by over centre springs.

Typically, the guards are attached to the drilling machine's non-rotating quill and guards with the most common diameters are stocked and unusual sizes may be ordered.
