The PIT estop, an emergency stop range, comes prepared for safety applications with dual channel N/C and ID channel N/O to suit category 4 under AS4024.1. Pilz now supplies a wide range of light curtains with built-in muting.

The PSENmech mechanical safety switch range has a power to open or power to close solenoid lock.

Other versions demand increased pullout force and have four vertical and four horizontal actuation directions.

The 2005 versions of Pilz's Programmable Safety System (PSS) include the PSS 3047SB, with 47 local safety I/O and SafetyBUS p, a safe fieldbus permitting over 1000 safety I/O. Communication with most fieldbuses is available, including Profibus, ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, interbus and CANopen.

For plug-and-play operation of the PSS and to make the most of Pilz's diagnostics, is a range of economical operator touchscreens called PMI.
