Emergency kits

ExitKits has introduced several smoke and fire escape kits designed for corporate Australia.

The EVAC+ Emergency Escape Smoke Hood is a personal emergency escape smoke hood which provides respiratory and eye protection in the event of a fire or smoke emergency. The unit provides 15 minutes of clean, filtered, breathable air (as per EN-403-M standard) to help staff evacuate to safety in a fire-related emergency.

CE certified in accordance with EN-403-M, the EVAC+ consists of a Kapton polyimide hood, providing heat and transient flame protection while allowing clear vision, coupled with an innovative three stage filter that is suspended in a vibration and shock absorbing mount.

Featuring an air intake system that reduces blockages from soot and airborne particles, the filter also has a particle filter to remove micron-sized soot particles, while activated carbon absorbs toxic gases created by combustion and a ceramic catalyst converts deadly carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide.

The kit comes in single wall mount, 10 unit cabinets and 15 unit dispensers. A deluxe kit is also available that includes a Nomex coverall, class 2 structural fire gloves and a safety torch. All kits are provided with a comprehensive training and maintenance program.
