Protective suit

Monday, 18 August, 2008

The Trellchem Freeflow chemical protective suit operates without a heavy breathing apparatus and breathing mask. Instead, the operator breathes free air supplied from an external air source via a pass-through valve at the back of the suit.

The valve’s integrated alarm system warns if there is a problem with the air supply.

The operator’s air supply is safeguarded using two diffusers placed in the hood, which also function as silencers. The high rate of the airflow ensures that the CO2 level is regulated and that the suit remains ventilated. The suit is suitable for use in areas such as the nuclear, chemical or pharmaceutical industries, where a high degree of protection during long working hours is required.
