Enware self-contained safety shower and eyewash

Thursday, 14 June, 2012 | Supplied by: Enware Australia Pty Ltd

A self-contained safety shower and eyewash featuring solar-battery charging for use even in the remotest parts of Australasia is being introduced by Enware Australia.

The relocatable unit features loading/unloading access for forklifts tines or cranes. It incorporates a water-storage capacity to operate both emergency shower and eyewash to AS 4775-2007 requirements, and does not need mains power or plumbing connection.

Designed for service with mining, oil and gas, defence and heavy industry applications where services are limited, the shower and eyewash ensure optimum water coverage to quickly remove contaminants and irritants from the face, eyes and body. Developed for reliable performance even in ambient temperatures exceeding 45°C, the unit features a heavy stainless steel enclosure with stainless steel construction throughout for maximum life span and fail-safe operation in harsh environments.

The system operates from a self-monitoring, fully independent power supply. This comprises a robust battery and dual pump system, and two solar panel modules connected to a regulator to ensure the two maintenance-free batteries are always ready to go. Built-in battery monitoring helps to achieve maximum cell life span.

Supplied with water-level, water-temperature and battery-supply indication gauges, the company can also build units to suit the needs of individual industries.
