Bata Bickz safety shoes

Thursday, 12 August, 2010 | Supplied by: Bata Shoe Company of Australia

Bickz safety shoes are metal free, using composite materials to provide protection for feet in industrial and professional environments.

Being nonmetallic, the shoes are lighter in weight than their steel counterparts, will not generate sparks and avoid the need to remove footwear for metal detectors during work or travel.

Exceeding the requirements of AS/NZS 2210.3, composite safety toe caps provide all-round toe protection, while flexible composite midsoles provide under-foot protection.

The sole is designed for comfort, safety and wellbeing in mind. The external TPU shank provides torsion stability, while the heat-, abrasion-, oil- and acid-resistant rubber outsoles offer multidirectional slip resistance. The sole also incorporates a cushioned phylon layer to function as a shock absorber and help prevent impact injuries throughout the lower body.

Foot comfort is enhanced by breathable, moisture-absorbing linings, padded collars and tongues, soft leather uppers and PU insole.
