AWS’s Jalas welding boots are designed to comply with Safe Work Australia’s Welding Processes Code of Practice and occupational protective footwear standard AS/NZS 2210.3:2009. They have heat-resistant uppers and outsoles, Kevlar threaded seams and a Velcro fastening system for firm ankle support. They also have heat insulation, aluminium toe caps and oil-resistant and water-repellent outsoles with antistatic properties.
Furthermore, the boots have no weld slag collection areas and exclude laces to prevent burns from captured hot sparks or metal debris.
