The 3M Qualitative Fit Test Apparatus FT-10 and F-30 are designed for fit testing disposable and half-face respirators fitted with particulate or combination gas/vapour and particulate filters.
The AS/NZS 1715: 2009 Standard mandates that fit testing is a necessary part of any respiratory protection program. Section 2.6 states: “The program administrator shall ensure a suitable fit test is carried out for all users of Respiratory Protective Equipment with a close fitting face-piece.”
The kit offers a fast method for performing qualitative fit testing with no need for calibration of equipment or face-piece modification. The test operator can be self-taught.
Each kit contains a hood and collar assembly, two nebulisers, sensitivity solution, test solution and detailed instructions. The test kits are available with either sweet (FT-10) or bitter (FT-30) solutions.
