Elliotts Big Jim chainsaw protective clothing range AS/NZS 4453.3 compliant
The Big Jim chainsaw protective clothing range has been certified by SAI Global to comply with AS/NZS 4453.3:1997. The range uses ArborTex High Performance Fabric to achieve a test result of no cut-through to comply with the performance requirements of the standard.
Until recently, chainsaw protective clothing in Australia and New Zealand had been made to NZS 5840, a standard offering a lower level of protection for chainsaw users than the more recently adopted AS/NZS 4453.3:1997.
Elliotts has increased the performance of the ArborTex Protective Pad across the range to achieve the test result of no cut-through. The range includes: CSC-style Chaps with quick-release webbing strap and buckle closure; CXT-style chaps with quick-release webbing straps at top of legs and rear calf guards with heavy-duty zip closure; CST-style trousers.
