3M’s Peltor Hearplugs listen-only earpieces are designed for two-way radio users who, in addition to requiring hearing protection, must have clear reception while working in high-noise areas. Compact, versatile and easy to use, this communications headset plugs into most lapel microphones with an audio accessory and jack. The earplugs are suitable for use in work environments including airports, manufacturing, construction, racing, public safety, forestry and more.

Hearplugs feature a combination of clear sound reproduction with a noise-reduction rating from an NVLAP accredited lab. These communication earplugs can also increase the efficiency of radios used in high-noise environments by significantly decreasing repeated, or worse, missed messages caused by the inability to clearly understand what is being transmitted over the radio.

The earplugs are suitable to use where earmuffs cannot be worn, ie, under helmets or hoods.

Features include: 3.5 mm mono plug, 25″ straight cable (also available as a 2.5 mm mono plug); plugs into most radio lapel speaker microphones with an audio accessory and jack; soft, acoustic tube comfortably wraps behind the ear; coil allows for head movement and placement; transducer limits volume spikes to 85 dB.
