The hygienic 3M Peltor H9A-02 Food Industry Earmuff can be used for workers in the food industry who often move between areas with considerable temperature differences. It provides attenuation and comfort, along with features for noisy food processing environments (SLC80 26 DB Class 5).

The special foam inserts make cleaning very simple and prevent the build-up of condensation and heat. The earmuff also has a headband cushion that is easy to clean and has no hidden crevices where bacteria can thrive. 

The earmuff is coloured blue, in keeping with the food and beverage industry’s recognised colour for safety products.

Examples of typical applications include: baking, dairy and confectionery industries - 85-95 dB(A); milling, drink production and meat industries - up to 100 dB(A); glass bottling lines - 85-100 dB(A); product impact on hoppers - 90-100 dB(A); manually pushing wheeled trolleys/racks - up to 107 dB(A); wrapping, cutting wrap, bagging, etc - 85-95 dB(A); milling operations - 85-100 dB(A); blast chillers/freezers - 85-107 dB(A); packaging machinery - 85-95 dB(A).
