Sundström SR700 Particle Powered Air-Purifying Particle Respirator

Sundström’s SR700 lightweight Particle Powered Air-Purifying Particle Respirator is suitable for dusty demolition work. Coupled with an SR200 full face mask and appropriate protective clothing, the respirator is useful for asbestos removal in wet and dry conditions.

The powerful fan delivers an airflow of 175 or 240 L/min. The fan unit sits securely on a waist belt, and a breathing hose connects it to a hood, shield, tight-fitting mask or other head-top.

The respirator is fitted with twin Sundström high-efficiency particle filters, capable of stopping 99.997% of particles such as dust, smoke, spray, fibres (including asbestos), bacteria, viruses and mould.

In addition, the filters are suitable for both dry and wet environments, and are not impaired by humidity, oil mist or similar. This makes the respirator particularly suitable for demolition work and asbestos removal, where the building is often hosed down and sprayed with water to minimise airborne dust. The unit is Ingress-Protection rated at IP67.

The SR700 is operated by a single button and features a clear visual display and audible alerts. The lithium-ion battery lasts up to eight hours and recharges in less than two.

The SR700 and SR200 full face mask are available as an ‘Asbestos Kit’, where the head harness, breathing hose and waist belt are made of natural rubber for easy and safe wet decontamination after use.
